Posadas and How it Works

Posadas is a community of 60 affordable units located between 19th St. & 22nd St. and 10th Ave. and Osborne Ave. south of downtown Tucson.

• Owned and managed by the City of Tucson
• Set rent amounts
• 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom, 4 bedroom units
• Single story, and two-story townhomes
• Hookups in unit for washer and dryer
• One cat or one dog allowed per unit; deposit, fee, and dog breed restrictions apply

Rent Amounts

Rent amounts are fixed at the following rates:

• Two bedroom - $450/mo
• Three bedroom - $510/mo
• Four bedroom - $570/mo

Tenants pay all utilities.

Qualifying for Posadas

To qualify to live at Posadas, your total household income must meet these criteria:

A. Income must be less than the following amount, based on your family size

• Family of 2 - $32,940
• Family of 3 - $37,080
• Family of 4 - $41,160
• Family of 5 - $44,460
• Family of 6 - $47,760
• Family of 7 - $51,060
• Family of 8 - $54,360

B. Income must be above these amounts for the size of unit you are applying for

• 2 Bedroom - $20,000
• 3 Bedroom - $23,000
• 4 Bedroom - $26,000

What is Needed to Apply

• Names of all persons living in the household
• Social Security numbers of all persons living in the household
• Income from all persons living in the household

After you are selected, you will be contacted by phone, email, or mail and a staff member will then interview you for eligibility.

Keep Your Information Current

If you have submitted an application and a change has happened to your contact information (address, email, phone number) you will need to contact us to update your information. If we do not receive these updates, your application may be denied.
