Above-ground facility featuring street vertical props, rails, and ramps enclosed in 20,000-square foot asphalt complex. Site is not supervised. There is no charge for use.

The in-ground facility features three skating bowls - a Flow Course Bowl, Kidney Bowl, and Clam Bowl - totaling 16,000 square feet of skating area. The facility also includes a shade ramada, perimeter fencing, and lights for evening use. The site is not supervised and there is no charge for general use. Contact the Parks and Recreation Administration, 520-791-4873, for information on reservations and fees for special events.

St. Johns skate park

Two fenced in-line/roller hockey rinks are located at Catalina High School (3645 E. Pima Street). Both rinks are available on a first-come, first-served basis, or you may make reservations by contacting 520-791-4873.

Skate Park Rules

For the safety and enjoyment of these public facilities, the following rules are posted and will be enforced:   THIS PARK IS A NON-SUPERVISED FACILITY – SKATE AT YOUR OWN RISK 

  1. Skateboards, in-line skates, roller skates and scooters may use this park. Scooters are not allowed in deep pool at Santa Rita.  
  2. Bicycles are not permitted.  Use of prohibited devices is considered trespassing.  Violators will be cited. 
  3. Protective equipment should be worn at all times.  This park facility is for various skill levels.  Use of this facility may expose the user to serious injury including broken bones, paralysis, heat exhaustion, or worse.  Know your abilities and skate within your limits. 
  4. Skate Park hours are 6:00am to 10:00pm.  “No trespassing” ordinance will be enforced when park is closed.  Santa Rita closes at 10:30pm. 
  5. Inspect the skate area prior to using and report any defects immediately to the Parks & Recreation Department (District Phone #).  Skating is prohibited when park is wet or it is raining. 
  6. Please put all trash in designated trash receptacles.  No littering or graffiti. 
  7. This park is a drug-free recreation area; alcohol or tobacco is not permitted. 
  8. Please enjoy your food & drink outside the skate park; food or glass containers are prohibited. 
  9. Special events such as competitive or demonstration events require prior special approval.  Contact the Parks & Recreation Department (District Phone #). 
  10. Gain respect.  Show your fellow skaters, the neighborhood and this skate park the respect it deserves. 

El Presidio and Sunset Parks 

Pursuant to Section 21-3(7) of the Tucson Code and to Mayor and Council action taken on Monday, September 26, 1994, skateboarding is prohibited at El Presidio and Sunset Parks from 6:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays and during special events on weekends.
