Claiming Property

Lost Property

• Search Foundrop.com.
• Call to identify your property and schedule an appointment.
• Pick up at Evidence, Property & Identification Center, 945 E Ohio St.
• You must provide proof of ownership and a current government-issued photo ID.

Stolen Property

• File a police report for the stolen property. You can call 911 or the police non-emergency line, 520-791-4444, or go to a a police substation to file your report, or you can file a Non-emergency Police Report online. (Theft of guns, vehicles, and many other types of theft cannot be reported online. Read the instructions carefully.)

  • You must provide proof of ownership along with a current government-issued photo ID.

Evidence

• Return will be determined by court proceedings.

Property of Another Person

• Power of Attorney or Notarized letter
• Case number
• Claimant government-issued photo ID

Property of Minors

Required to bring in person:

• Proof of legal guardianship
• Case number
• Claimant government-issued photo ID

Tips for the Return of Property

Don't let lost or stolen be forever. Take preventive measures now.

• Document serial numbers and keep receipts. Keep where this information cannot be stolen.
• Photograph your valuables.
• Immediately report stolen property and obtain a police case report number.
• Register with Foundrop.com to manage your property both BEFORE and after it is lost/stolen.
