Tucson Curb Management Study

The Tucson Curb Framework Plan is a strategic evaluation of allocating curb space in Tucson, Arizona. This framework applies industry standards and defined metrics to allocating curb space and determining the trade-offs between various curb issues. As the curb ecosystem in Tucson continues to evolve, this Framework should be used to develop a curb environment that provides equitable access for all.

Parking Enforcement in the Mercado District

Effective as of October 2022, enforcement of the posted time limits for on-street parking began in the Mercado District. This enforcement will promote increased availability of parking for customers and visitors in the Mercado District. Click the map below to view the time limits for particular street segments.

Park Safely Near Sun Link Streetcar

It’s important for motorists to park correctly in street spaces adjacent to the streetcar tracks. All parts of your vehicle – including tires and side mirror – must be within the marked white lines of the parking space. Park in a way that blocks the path of the streetcar and you may pay a fine, towing costs, and impound fees.

Avoid Vehicle Immobilization - Pay Your Outstanding Parking Tickets

Drivers with three (3) or more unpaid City of Tucson parking citations are subject to having their vehicle immobilized until their unpaid citations are resolved. A Barnacle device is installed on the front windshield, preventing the driver from seeing through the windshield, making driving impossible.  The immobilization device will be promptly removed with notification from Tucson City Court that full payment of outstanding citation fines and fees, or partial payment with an approved payment plan, has been made.  If you have three or more unpaid citations, please act quickly to contact Tucson City Court (520-791-4216) to address the outstanding fines and fees.
